Convertitori multimediali

I supporti per rete Ethernet si dividono principalmente in due categorie:

b) Fibre ottiche: sono fibre flessibili e trasparenti, di vetro (silice) o plastica. E' necessario che i due segnali siano combinati in un segnale unico da un dispositivo multiplexer, e che quindi il segnale unico sia scomposto nei segnali originari da un demultiplexer.
