Locator is a program that runs on android devices designed to track gps positions on google maps.

It's especially useful for sportsmen and travelers that want to record their movements and check them later on a map.

Locator sends the positions received by the android gps device associated with it's receiving time, velocity and bearing.
Following are the necessary steps to start using the locator program:

  • Dowload locator from android market
  • Install locator in your android device
  • request a device id
  • go in locator setting and modify program configuration adding this id
  • Start collecting data
